Volunteering at Open Hand
Volunteers are the Heart of Open Hand.
Perhaps our greatest strength is the constant support of thousands of volunteers. At Open Hand, people from all walks of life come together to touch the lives of thousands of others who are not as fortunate. Our volunteers are generally surprised at how much fun they have in the process—due in part to our wonderful food service and distribution staff that, along with other remarkable volunteers, make them feel as though they are always among friends.
Open Hand volunteers package meals, drive meal delivery routes, work with our senior health and wellness programs, and serve in leadership positions. Without the dedication of each and every one of these incredible people, we simply could not do our very necessary work in our community.
Pre-Court/Court-Ordered Community Service hours: for approval please contact Volunteer Services either by email with a subject line of "Court-Ordered Community Service Sign-up" (please include your name, contact information, number of hours needed and reason for court-ordered community service) or by phone at 404-872-2707.
